![]() Going back to replay one to get the final achievement I needed (four prepared slots) was a breeze after Episode 4 and Hard Mode. I can see Witch being played consistently on most of her episodes. But I am confident at what the data itself is saying. None of which means that anyone needs to agree with my opinions. And I've spent several HUNDRED more hours making balance mods for games (among other modding). I have worked on balancing several tabletop/computer games. NOTE: I also understand just how hard it can be to make things feel different/interesting,and also be balanced. I'm just saying that that The Robot is not currently in line with the other classes when comparing the results of skilled play. I'm not going to claim that any of the classes aren't FUN to play. I don't have the data that actually SHOWS my win/loss rate while I was figuring out The Witch.END EDIT But that was also back when DD was still in Alpha/Beta on Itch. The Witch was frustrating for me to figure out too. But I don't remember win/loss tracking being around until somewhat recently. The Witch is actually EXTREMELY consistent when played properly.ĮDIT: If I had to guess, I'd say I also had the most losses as The Witch. Which is different than the other characters BECAUSE it is most like deck-builders). And also different from other deck-builders (Unlike the Jester. The mechanics are the most different to other characters. The Witch, in comparison, has a much higher learning curve. Even when played 'properly' it will lose much more often than any other class (also played properly). And I'm arguing that it still isn't in line with the other classes because luck is a REQUIREMENT. It's particular gimmick is proving the hardest to tweak. The Robot has been through the most iterations of any class so far. Everything above is based on data, not just personal experiences. Not experiencing a problem, does not mean it doesn't exist. Mechanical Arm = 30 (14 rolls = 15 damage.Chocolate Cookie Uses last 1x 6 + remaining 1s.1 (Re-rolled by Juggling ball into a 6).You must roll the maximum possible number of dice.Midnight Charm (2nd upgrade goes here or Chocolate Cookie).Chocolate Cookie (2nd upgrade goes here or Midnight Charm). To illustrate the nonsense required to actually reach the maximum possible damage. It requires better than average rolls to win a game against enemies that roll average dice rolls. But the Robot is the only character that REQUIRES good luck to win, especially the episodes. And the Warrior has a MICH higher per round average, several combo variations.END EDITĪll of the characters can get screwed over by bad luck. But unlike other characters, It's limit break does nothing to mitigate that limitation (And actively hinders it in certain episodes)ĮDIT: The optimal damage in a round might be higher than the Warrior actually. ![]()
