![]() To prevent installation problems, your computer needs to remain powered on continuously during the installation process. Note: The SAS installer performs several hundred tasks and, depending on the computer, can take 30 minutes to several hours to complete. When you reach the Deployment Summary screen, the software installation is ready to begin.The wizard will perform several system checks.For Specify SAS Document Conversion Host and Port, leave the default values and click Next.Specify SAS Clinical Standards Toolkit Libraries folders then click Next.On Default Product for SAS File Types, select SAS Foundation (64-bit) then click Next.Select Regional Setting then click Next.Click Next on the Select Language Support screen.If this screen is blank, click Browse, navigate to the installation files folder you extracted earlier, open the sid_files folder, select the file there, then click Open. On the Specify SAS Installation Data File screen, the data file should already be filled in.For Select SAS Foundation Products, do not change any of the default selections.The default 32-bit Compatibility Mode is recommended. Select SAS Enterprise Guide Mode to install then click Next.The default 64-bit Native Mode is recommended. Select SAS Foundation Mode to install then click Next.Note: Do not change any of the default product selections on this screen. On the next screen, ensure Products to install is set to SAS Foundation and related software then click Next.For Select Deployment Type, choose Install SAS Foundation and Related Software then click Next.Note: It is recommended to keep the default folder unless your PC configuration requires a different location. On the Specify SAS Home screen, click Next to install SAS in the default folder.For Select Deployment Task, choose Install SAS software then click Next.Choose the language for the installation wizard then click OK.Depending on the system configuration, you may be prompted to authorize the file to run or to enter an administrator account username and password. Open the extracted folder, then double-click the setup.exe file.Note: Due to the zip archive size and the large number of files it contains, this step can take 15 minutes or longer. ![]() Right-click the downloaded file then select Extract all.If you must use Wi-Fi, start the download at a time when your computer can remain continuously connected for a long period when you are not using it. It is strongly recommended that you download this software over a WIRED internet connection. Downloading it may take a very long time (24 hours plus has been reported) and can be disrupted on a weak or congested Wi-Fi connection. Once downloaded, extracting the installer archive and actually installing SAS can take multiple hours. Time - Downloading the installer may take a very long time (details below).Much of this can be recovered by deleting the installer file and extracted archive after completing the installation.
